Ligamentum flavum hypertrophy is the thickening of the ligamentum flavum, an elastic ligament in the spine that connects vertebrae and normally allows for spinal mobility. However, when thickened, it can lead to lumbar spinal stenosis and can compress the spinal cord or nerves, leading to pain, numbness, or weakness.

What We
Offer

Epidurals or Epidural block injections consist of administering long-acting steroid medication mixed with an anesthetic close to the pain generator. It is especially beneficial for a patient suffering from back and/or leg pain. It involves injecting medication medication into the epidural space, which is outside the sac containing the spinal cord and spinal fluid,  Epidurals have a longer duration of action and can be used for longer pain management.

mild® is an early treatment option to consider when conservative therapies (e.g., physical therapy, pain medication, chiropractic) are not providing adequate relief. It is also the treatment of choice when repeated epidural injections are not feasible. It addresses a major root cause of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis by removing excess ligament tissue to restore space in the spinal canal. The mild® Procedure is performed through a single, tiny incision.
