Therapies

The Comprehensive Spine Center consists of a truly integrated therapy team with professionals looking to assist in your rehabilitation following an injury or illness. Our team consists of medical doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, athletic trainers, counselors, and many others to ensure optimal recovery.

Chiropractic Therapy

Chiropractic therapy focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems and they attain this by manipulation of the spinal segments.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints.

Acupuncture

In acupuncture, very fine needles are inserted into the skin to stimulate specific points on the body. Acupuncture is used to relieve pain, spasm, and restore function.

Theraputic Exercises

Therapeutic exercises consist of a variety of physical activities that focus on restoring and maintaining strength, stability, flexibility, and balance.

Traction Therapy

Traction Therapy involves the gentle stretching of soft tissues and spinal joints. It is a form of decompression therapy that relieves pressure on the spine.

Hydro Massage

The hydromassage uses a combination of water, heat, and massage for its curative and preventive effects to heal injured tissues, muscles, and joints

Neuromuscular Re-Education

Neuromuscular exercises are specific exercises to make nerves and muscles work together. They improve movement patterns that are inefficient after auto accidents, work injuries, falls, sprains and fractures.

Laser Therapy

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is beneficial for soft tissue healing by decreasing inflammation and swelling to produce immediate pain relief and improve range of motion.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is used to treat painful soft tissue conditions and to promote tissue healing. It decreases inflammation, swelling, stiffness,  spasm and improves range of motion.

Cryotherapy/
Heat Therapy

Heat/Ice therapy is used to treat both acute and chronic injuries. The heat helps to relax muscles and improve blood circulation by bringing essential nutrients to affected areas. Ice helps reduce inflammation and pain.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation - TMS

TMS therapy uses a magnet to activate the brain center that is involved in mood regulation (pre-frontal cortex). Short electromagnetic pulses are administered through a magnetic coil to stimulate nerve cells.
